With Spring quickly approaching around the corner, here are some fashion trends to keep in mind on your next shopping trip.
Baggy Denim
Low-rise baggy jeans are making a comeback and are a great staple to have. I like styling baggy jeans with oversized simple shirts for an effortless look. For a more fitted look, I also like pairing these jeans with a tight-fitting top to accentuate my waist.
Transparent layering
With nearly every designer experimenting with thin fabrics it seems this trend will be going mainstream this spring. Transparent layering offers a way to show off some skin while still feeling covered. For transparent tops consider layering with a crop top or tank top for a more covered look. If you want to be bold you can also wear a cute bralette underneath.
Shades of Purple
Purple is getting popular with Versace, Adam Lippes, Prabal Gurung, and Tibi using different shades in their shows. Even though purple traditionally represents royalty it’s also the color of wealth and harmony. Purple’s versatility makes it perfect for your spring wardrobe and it can be styled effortlessly. For a bold look consider pairing different shades of purple.
Metallics
Silver was used by many designers such as Sacai, Gucci, Valentino, and more. If you are looking to stand out on a night out and have your outfit catch the light, silver is the way to go! An easy way to incorporate silver into your wardrobe is with accessories.
Leather on Leather
For the upcoming season, two-piece sets made of leather or vegan leather alternatives are proven to be the glossiest ensemble formula in fashion. Matching blazers, bombers, and bustiers are worn with sleek shorts, slacks, and skirts in leather or leather-like fabrics that are modeled after Chloé, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Coach, and Max Mara. Brands like Abercombie, Revolve, and Artiza are also putting out many leather pieces that are trending.
