The weather is still as frigid as ever, but March just began which means it’s basically spring. I could not be more excited to frolic in the blossoms, take long walks with friends, picnic in the grass, and participate in all of my favorite warm-weather activities. However, I might be most excited about the spring fashion trends. Here are some styles I will most definitely be checking out.
Backless Tops
I remember a time when I strayed as far away from backless items as I could. I was a lot younger then and obviously have matured because now I am itching to get my hands on one. My Pinterest, Instagram, and TikTok feeds are full of these simple yet incredibly stylish pieces. The good news is that they are super easy to find! A quick search on amazon will lead you to a plethora of options. Another aspect I love about these is that they are versatile. I picture myself wearing one on a night out or a walk around Boston.
Vests
This may seem like a less obvious option, yet I have been obsessed with trying to find a chic vest recently. They are the perfect piece to add layers or just another inch of flare to an outfit. A patterned vest can do wonders for an outfit originally made up of a white T-shirt and jeans. The nice thing about them is that you can leave them buttoned or unbuttoned and they won’t make you too steamy on a warmer spring day. I recently tried a fun vest on at the Garment District, yet it wasn’t the right fit. My search continues!
Parachute Pants
Parachute pants are perfect for springtime. They are light and fun- wonderful for the changing seasons. I recently saw one of my favorite fashion influencers Eva Meloche wearing dark purple parachute pants. All of the different colors they come in are great for pairing with simpler tops. They look especially amazing styled with baby tees and lots of accessories.
Low Waisted Baggy Jeans
Talk about casual but stylish. I’ve been seeing these kinds of jeans all over social media and I definitely think they are going to be one of the most if not the most popular kinds of jeans this spring. They are super comfortable and non-restrictive while also making any outfit look put together. Recently, I saw Matilda Djerf, the founder of Djerf Avenue, wearing a beautiful pair of low wasted yet baggy jeans, and I was so inspired to search for a pair of my own. I have not found them yet; however, I found a pair of low-waisted bootcut jeans at Urban Outfitters for a bargain.
Mini Skirts
I mean, when are mini skirts not in? They are always such a perfect, simple choice of bottoms. However, I have noticed more hype surrounding them recently. They are so perfect for warmer weather when you may not want to wear shorts for a night out, but it’s too warm for pants. Investing in a black mini-skirt is one of the most convenient things you can do this spring.
