Well it’s that time of the year again - Valentine’s Day! While the greeting card aisles make this holiday seem all about relationships, it doesn’t have to be. This is a time to celebrate another year of love, whether it is love for yourself, your friends, or your significant other.
But let’s face it, V-Day is also an excuse to wear a cute outfit. So in true, F&R fashion, I am here to give you inspo with an exclusive Valentine’s Day Style Guide. So let’s get into it!
Staying-in
Whether you’re staying in with your SO because your love language is laying on the couch and binging Netflix, or you’ve planned a Galentine’s pajama party, here is the look I would go for!
Everyone loves a good pair of feather pajamas. Classy and fabulous. Some of my favorites are from The Sleeper, and these are on sale! However, while good for a party, they are not very practical.
My favorite brand of pajamas is LAKE, and lucky for us they made a Valentine’s Day edit. This set is my favorite and would be perfect to pair with your favorite pair of ugg slippers or silk sleeping mask.
Galentine’s
If you have dinner and drink plans for Galentine’s here is the look for you. Imagine this fit at Lolita’s - absolute perfection. Leather pants are all the rage, but I am tired of seeing black and brown pants. Let’s spice it up and do something more fun - like red or pink.
These pants from Edikted are a great option in either red or pink. They have a metallic shine and would look great in any Instagram pic.
If you want something a bit more subtle you can go with the tried and true Aritizia Melina pants in either red or pink- both are on sale!
You can pair it with an oversized graphic tee, like this one from Ami De Cœur, as seen in this season of Emily in Paris. I also love this shirt from Comme des Garçons which would be cute with leather pants or even jeans and boots. You also can never go wrong with a corset top, like this one from Revolve.
GNO
Everyone loves a girls' night out, which may be your plan for Valentine’s Day. These pics of glittery fits with flash photography—such a slay. Imagine pics like this on film? Perfection. If your friends are like mine, we never do anything understated. Therefore, I would suggest you put on your most extra fit and make a night of it.
H&M always pulls through for a sparkly moment. This sequin shirt dress gives the vibe of effortlessly fabulous.
And don’t forget Revolve, which always has great options, like this mini dress by Line & Dot.
For my guys, this silver shirt from ASOS really is a power play or this satin rose top.
Date Night
All this fit inspo to conclude that maybe you’re one of those people who got hit by Cupid’s love arrow this year and need a fit for a fabulous date night. Maybe you’re going out or maybe they’re cooking you your favorite meal, but either way, still an excuse for a roster-winning fit.
For this, I would suggest something classy but also fun. l love this elegant ELLIATT dress for a nice dinner and drinks. The button detailing on the back—stunning.
As always I love a feather moment, like this dress from LIKELY, or a subtle sparkle moment like this one from NBD.
